Testimonial-New Affordable Housing
“My company’s policy is that it does do not provide references for vendors or for employees. I am allowed to make a personal reference, although it is something that I seldom do. However I am not only willing to make an exception for Charters Brothers, it pleases me to do so.
I had the opportunity to work with Charters Brothers on an affordable housing project in Lowell, Massachusetts. Common Ground Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Community Teamwork, Inc. had purchased a parcel of land from the City Of Lowell and obtained home funding to build a duplex for two low-income families. We requested proposals and found Charters Brothers proposal to be the most advantageous.
We engaged them in an AIA contract that had an extremely tight budget and a very ambitious schedule. The purchase and sale had a penalty attached to it if we failed to have the units substantially completed in time for the buyers to take advantage of the tax credit that was available to first time home-buyers. That tax credit program had a rapidly approaching deadline.
Charters Brothers worked closely with their sub-contractors and myself to complete the project on time and on budget and the buyers were able to get the credit.
I would use Charters Brothers Construction again and have no hesitation about writing the reference on their behalf.”
